Head of Nigerian Anti-Corruption Chairman arrested

DSS arrests EFCC Acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu in Abuja. Nigeria. Prior to his arrest, by the Department of State Services, Magu was the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Magu was arrested at the Abuja office of the EFCC on Monday over allegations that he was siphoning part of money recovered by the commission from suspected looters.

It was learned that the security details to Magu put up a stiff resistance during the arrest of their chairman, as they objected to the DSS move. Many Nigerians are now wondering and beginning to lose faith in the Anti-Corruption probes and office that was supposed to save the country from wanton acts of Corruption that have hindered the development of the nation.
