IS THIS MAN THE “JESUS” AFRICANS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR? AN ANGLO- AMERICAN MAN CLAIMED TO BE THE RETURN OF JESUS IN AFRICA

Michael Job, an ordained minister who runs Jesus Loves You Evangelistic Ministries in Florida claimed to the real Jesus and claimed that  for a nine-day crusade “many people were saved and healed.” He said he plans to travel throughout Africa performing miracles.

The question many are asking is why Africa? The answer is simple. His appearance fit the description of Jesus that has been handed down by colonial states to Africans.

For millions of Africans, colonization and the legacies of miss-education and condemnation of their history, culture, and values, they are unable to imagine themselves in God’s image. Thus the notion that Jesus is NOT white sounds blasphemous and challenges their deep indoctrination.

For most African Christians, Christ’s color and true human image and identity is a touchy topic. Whenever the issue is presented with valid historical and other evidence confirming the obvious fact that the true image of Jesus is far from what has been presented and disseminated across most living rooms in Africa, most pastors and Christians are quick to say it doesn’t matter. So if it doesn’t matter,  why make him Caucasian-Europen white?  After all, Jesus throughout his life here on Earth never visited Europe and surely he is not from Sweden or Norway as the image today reflects. Blue eye-Blonde hair.. Typical of Northern European.

The researchers, led by Stanford psychologist Steven O. Roberts, conducted a series of studies with U.S. Christians and found that when people conceptualize God as a white man, they are more likely to perceive white male job candidates as more fit for leadership than black and female applicants, Stanford research has found.

“Basically, if you believe that a white man rules the heavens, you are more likely to believe that white men should rule on Earth,” said Roberts, an assistant professor of psychology in the Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences.

This popular image of recent days Jesus is in contrast to the image of Jesus in antiquity. Many images and ancient paintings throughout Europe were entirely different and in contrast to what we have today.
