The RIVTAF Golf Estate is the largest luxury housing estate in the South-South region of Nigeria built on about 40 hectares of land. It is a luxury estate with excellent landscaping, water reticulation, sewage and electricity systems, and for many who are wondering about the funding source; Its NOT China, and NOT any European NGO or billionaire. It’s 100 % African funded and Africa’s development by a Gambian businessman, the Chief Executive Officer of RIVTAF, Mr. Mustapha Njie.
The story of the RIVTAF Golf Estate in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria is a tale of many sides and one of the most successful developments in Nigeria. One such side is vividly captured in Nelson Mandela’s quote that “it always seems impossible until it is done.” It is arguably unimaginable that a Gambian can walk through the hearts of the Niger Delta region of Nigeria and leave such an indelible mark by realizing a masterpiece estate providing a live-work-play ambiance to about 1,200 middle to high-income families. This development signal an inter-development initiative amongst African nations.
TAF Nigeria Homes Limited in partnership with the Government of Rivers State, through a special purpose vehicle incorporated as RIVTAF Nigeria Limited, developed a middle to a high-income housing estate in Port Harcourt known as RIVTAF Golf Estate. While the Government provided 39.82 hectares of land for the project at the Peter Odili area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, TAF Nigeria Homes Limited provided the expertise and financing for the design, development, and management of the RIVTAF Golf Estate project.
Founded in 1990, TAF Africa Global Limited is a pan African real estate development company with a presence in 8 African countries and dominance in two – Nigeria and The Gambia.
