In the most recent interview conducted on CNN by Tate Reeves, Governor of Mississippi, CNN Jake Tapper asked the Governor, “Why is it acceptable in your state to force girls who are victims of incest to carry those children to term?” Governor Tate Reeves, whose state has a trigger law set to ban abortion immediately if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade. That law also called a “snapback law,” does not include an exception allowing victims of incest to access abortion care. The only exceptions in the law are for cases of rape and when the life of the mother is in danger.
When asked on Sunday whether Mississippi would enforce the snapback law if Roe is overturned — which looks increasingly likely thanks to a leaked draft opinion — Reeves told Tapper he would. “Yes, Mississippi does have a trigger law in place,” Reeves said. “It was passed in 2007, and that trigger law will go into effect” if Roe is overturned. Pro-choice governor Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan, on the other hand, has gone to court in an attempt to prevent the state’s trigger law from going into effect if the Supreme Court nullifies Roe.

The Real Truth Why Republicans want to Outlaw Abortion, Criminalize IUDs and other Birth control pills is; White Supremacist doctrine based on the fears of the dwindling “white Race” population in America.
Republicans have for years preached that life is secret and the sanctity of life needs to be maintained and upheld., but what they often failed to mention, is that when they are referring to Lives, they really do not mean all Human lives.. without stating the obvious, they are actually stating that white life needs to be protected, and white women need to have more children.
So whenever you hear Republicans who are at the forefront of cutting any type of government assistance to single mothers and minority communities claim they love life and are against abortion, look beyond their slogans and question every one of their motives.
In fact, the abortion battle is not just about religion or the value of life, there are deep motives hidden in plain sight that most people can not see.
Thom Hartman in his recent article made this articulate point, “ We’re also watching the last ages of white supremacy, and it’s scaring the hell out of white people who’ve bought into the racist belief that “others” are fundamentally different and inferior.
This firestorm around abortion is another dimension of the white freak-out about the browning of America that stretches from the days of slavery through 19th century “scientific racism” to Charles Murray’s book The Bell Curve: America is no longer all-white or all-under-white-control”.
Thom Hartmann further states what is now obvious, “Let’s be clear here: Alito and Barrett are talking about white babies.
There is an actual “shortage” of them, dating back to Roe v Wade being put into law, causing white people who want to parent but can’t or don’t want to go through pregnancy to turn to adoptions from Russia and Eastern European nations.
Looking at federally-published adoption statistics from the pre-and post-Roe era, researchers at Princeton University concluded in 1993:
“[A]mong whites, over 19% of all premarital births were relinquished before 1973, but just over 3% were relinquished from 1982 through 1988.”
Black adoption rates, on the other hand, are still where they were before Roe, largely because unwanted Black children are often cared for by extended family members rather than put up for adoption. As that Princeton study noted that both pre-and post-Roe:”
According to the brilliant Thom Hartman, White supremacists have had their day for 400 years, from the era of slavery to the more recent promotion of The Bell Curve book on the American Enterprise Institute’s website.
That day is rapidly fading, however, so they’re upping their game, trying to use everything from violence to politics to packing the Court to slow down nonwhite immigration while increasing white births.
They’ve even made common cause with anti-abortion religious fundamentalists who claim to be acting in the name of God.
It’s not going to work in the long term, but how many women will the GOP’s new forced pregnancy laws kill in the process?
So next time you hear Republicans screaming from the rooftop and stating their love for Life,, ask them which Life?
