Some people believed that Umi Sushi owner Farshid Arshid may be related to the man that called the police that murdered George Floyd.
On Wednesday, footage appeared on social media showing an Atlanta man being kicked out of Umi Sushi in Buckhead for wearing all-white Air Force Ones. As expected, the man was confused by the motive as there were other people in the establishment wearing sneakers. He pointed to a white woman who was wearing a pair of Adidas.
Many in the African American community have long complained of this restaurant for racism. While most restaurant is subtle in their racism, this restaurant has a long history of racism targeting African Americans as displayed in the video by the owner.
