While the entire world is uniting their efforts to deal with Covid-19, Americans are once again hunted by the ghost from their past and present; Racism and Police wanton shooting of Black Men.
It’s been an extremely sad week as African Americans are reminded once again of their place and the value that their country place in their life in light of the raw detail of what happened in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Falcon Heights, Minnesota, Dallas and the white woman making false 911 call… all in just one this week.
The question many are asking is where are the so-call Black celebrities? Why are they not speaking out? Why are they not using their fame and money to ensure that these rogue cops and other racists are not getting away with murder? Why don’t they have integrity like Mohamed Ali and Colin Kaepernick and many more before them that has taken a stand against injustice using their fame to speak out for they believe even when it cost them corporate endorsement and in some cases their careers?
Many famous rap artists speak about their tough upbringing in ghettos, experience, and anger. Nothing demands angry reaction then that the state of things in American today.. for Black men jogging, and women at sleep in their bedrooms. Someone has to stand up and speak out even if it means losing and endorsement and career.
